Retrofit new Climate Control with Seat Heater/ALL Buttons?

I like this new climate control cluster with the seat heater buttons in it and the 'ALL' button instead of the 'REST' button. The 'ALL' button sets the temperature equally for left and right.

Anyone think this would retrofit easily?

This pic is from a member on here.

I'm planning on doing this too. I think it'll be plug-n-play because the current heated seat buttons are already connected to the climate controls.

Do you know if the new climate controls are already available to order and do you have the part# for the one with chrome rings?

No it goes in the same spot as your current climate controls. His is only like that because he has NAV. If you don't have NAV, it goes below the radio.

I don't have the part #. It isn't listed on realoem.com yet.

I don't think I could part with the residual heat function. At least not in this climate.

I'm with you on this one. The REST function is very useful here in the winter. I don't see why they couldn't have incorporated both functions in the new system.

Hrmm, maybe. I think the old one has it behind some small slats instead of looking like someone put a hidden camera in your car.

If its cold outside, and you press the rest button, your car keeps the cabin warm for about 15 minutes. Amazing feature in the cold IMO, but worthless in California.

Well if you look at the climate control panel for the 5-series GT, there is no residual heat button. However, the caption states that there is a residual heat function.

So just because the button is gone, may not mean there is no way to activate residual heat.

it's probably still programmable if you have the Nav

If you leave the ALL button pressed for a couple of secs the REST function is activated.
