i was wondering where the subs are located on a car equiped with the standard stereo, and if they can be replaced with better quality sub speakers.

it would be nice to have some bump hidden in the car and not taking up space in a box in the trunk!

I had some strange crackling coming out of the speaker in the driver's side pillar when listening to the radio the first or second day of re-delivery back here in the States.
I haven't heard it since....not with Mp3s or the radio.
I might have them check it out when they do the September software updates.

well Beemers audio systems are infamous for rattles and buzzs.

Certain songs seem to rattle the speakers at certain volumes.

You should also give new speakers a while to "run in" before you blast them

Who cares when they are free! When and if they blow, just get new ones. I will only keep this car while its under warranty, after that i will just get a new BMW. I never keep a car more then 4yrs.

That kinda sucks. You pay all this money for a nice car and some extra for the Logic 7 and the speaker are already blowing.

in my last car, i had the standard stereo in the e46

the speakers, especially the tweaters in the front pillar dont hold up for long

i wonder how the speakers will hold up in my e90, i have the basic stereo and am quite pleased with the sound. i would love to hear the logic 7!! :rocks:
