Make the car much more airy, keeps the one year old happy and almost like having a convertible without the hideous weight penalty and sloppiness.

Also means we can keep an eye on boards/bikes on the roof.

The BMW one is excellent - and I like the way the wind deflector drops at ahem 100mph...

Last two cars didn't have them and really missed having ones (previous three cars before that had one).

We like real air.

And in the spirit of the forum, do you really need to tell us you hate them? Plenty of people like them.

We like real air too, our car comes equipped free of charge with opening glass windows in each door. You can see out of them and they are great for seeing where you're going! (which a sunroof isn't)

All the benefits, but 1000 cheaper!

Except the roof-rack inspection view, which is a good one I suppose.....but when the bikes fly off you'll still see them get run over by that 40 tonne truck in your rear view mirror!!

And of course if a bird cr4ps on your roof, it's MUCH more likely to be non damaging if it lands on the vast expanse of glass.

Roof fully open on a hot day - the car cools down way quicker than with aircon on.

The bikes/boards don't fly off - Thule make very good roof storage kit. Halfords don't though - don't EVER buy their roofrack straps - nearly lost a board recently thanks to those.

Cheers, and your leather interior

Love sunroofs, especially panoramic ones, the touring in the showroom felt dark inside, especially with the black headlining.

.....nice and dark and cosy and enveloping some might call it....

black carpet, dark leather, black headlining, sun glass and all the windows blinds closed, lovely!

It's like being in a Limo in the back! kids sleep for hours - great.

Errmmm - I spoke about this (I agree with you) and got in trouble with the M Sport brigade!

Car is currently having a seatbelt housing sorted so it should be back tomorrow (or later today). Got a 120d for now...!

Interior is:

And only shot I have with the roof in it is this one (camera phone pic!)

Roof bars optional!

Will get an inside shot when I can tomorrow.

My Dad had several very dark cars (928, uR Quattros, etc) and all made us kids (at the time) feel sick. So airy lightness it is.

Helps to have a very comfy kiddie seat too: Ours loves it.

They are the tether straps for the car seat - probably ought to tie them off really.

Some like it light, naff and airy, just like a fast food restaurant...

It's funny - people on here worry/talk about stuff I'd never even think about.

Dark headlining
Blackened rear lights
Black everything else (grille, window edges, etc)
Sliding armrests
All sort of i-drivey stuff
etc, etc

Either very fussy or maybe "discerning..."

I have decided that the new way to stand out from the crowd is to not add blacklines, grille, etc!

Pardon me - that's what this forum's for - discussing cars (and their options)!!

It's equaly valid a point of view to like or dislike a particular point..

sunroofs included!!

Looking good! Guessing Terra leather is another name for red/brown Dakota?

James - Cheers! 99% sure it is the same thing. Hope you like yours as much as I like mine? A bit different and hides dropped crumbs of chocolate too! Seems easy to keep clean overall (one year old + black lab + many beaches nearby = potential cleaning death!) too.

Got a bit of a bashing recently for having small wheels and no M Sport kit so the car was feeling a bit unloved. I like it to be a "Q car" as possible but in the extreme minority.

E91 335ds seem rare but E91 335is seem even rarer. Have you put any pics up of yours yet?

Where in Surrey are you? I was brought up (until 14) in West Horsley and went to RGS Guildford.

C'mon - be fair - you didn't get "bashed" for small wheels etc

M sport or no M sport, the car is essentially the same great car. Personally I am probably one of the younger touring owners (27) hence the M sport in black / red was my choice

My car arrives in December, when i take delivery i will get some pictures up!

I am in Purley, went to Epsom College, use to play RGS at Rugby I seem to remember!

Terra was the pre-LCI colour and Red/Brown is the LCI replacement.

IMO the Terra is more earthy and the Red/Brown that I have is more 'terracotta'.

I actually prefer the terra in real life, but ordered red-brown with no samples, so was a bit disappointed.

Grown on me now....

You and I will be in a very small minority..

335i tourer = very rare

335i tourer manual = I think we will have the only 2 in the country!!

- 100000000000000000000000000000000

I have a sunroof and love it - I feel like it is one of the forgotten options. During winter I like the snug feel of the black headlining etc. Sunroof in Summer and black headlining in Winter. You get both with M Sports - The coupe sunroof is smaller than the ones you are looking at but I do have the added ability to close the interior panel on sunroof and completely cover the sunroof up with the black headlining.

And closing it with the remote after locking it is still a trick I haven't tired of...
