Does anybody know if it's possible to go from US Halogens (std 325/328) to EUR Xenons (std 330/335)? Easy swap or not possible because of different wire-harness?

Our SoCal frens have done Halogen to xenon at this thread

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...=halogen+xenon

96vette illustrated the difference between Halogen and Xenons connectors, at his posting on the said thread..
in your case, it should be the same way by just bypassing xenon upgrade, and doing it straight to euro light.
Just removed the bumper and then modify the Halogen connectors like 96vette had done.
Which showed putting an extra GRD and piggy-backing a new connector to an existing connector wire.

pls be carefull that you dont share a current GRD to the new GRD you need to create, for someone did that and created issues, but after he got it corrected, problem went away. Magmd from the SoCal crew is also a good reasource to PM, for he did it with Diesel in his car.

Hope it helps

Please, Donny!! I could have driven my rental and parked on top of all three of your cars. It would have made for a great photoshoot!

Also, revisit the center console, I am thinking a thin wire (wire hanger unfolded) should help you thread the cable from the front, right on to the rear, I do concur its a tight squeeze. Good luck...

If you need help with the install...I still owe you one ( or two )
Well I canceled my order from Tischer and placed the order with crown.
Guess it will take more than a week for the parts.
gives me time to think about installation.
I think I figured out how to run the wires from the front of the center
console to the rear.

Frank: without removing the center console? There is space to thread the cable/wire iirc...check it out again. Use something like a wire hanger. You should've gone with Crown to begin with for hard-to-get parts like these. let me know if you need my assistance I make for a very good spectator at these installs

Email bimmian.com and find out. Unfortunately, I am back to the front license plate...

I got stopped last weekend for exceeding the maximum allowable velocity while trying to get to passport. Luckily I had a screwdriver and my plates in the trunk, and I was supervised as I put it back on

There was a black 330i ZSP with blacklines at the parking lot yesterday, about 2-3 rows away. Did anyone see that car? An e90post guy?

Brian, that would've been a perfect opp to see how the blacklines would look on your black 330....

I didn't see it but I would like to have seen it. AJ pointed out how the red is a little darker than the traditional red. I didn't notice that before. Also, I didn't realize the lines aren't really "black," they're a dark chrome, at least on yours. I think they'd look good on a sapphire black car, although I don't really have the urge to do any modding ($$$). I need to order my winter wheels first.

BTW, my car is with Shim as we speak. My non-garaged car will look great for two days until the rains come later this week.
