Any Hawaii owners waiting to take delivery of 2007 335i? - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Hi,

Is there anyone here whose '07 335i (sedan or coupe) is currently at the port in Germany? My car has been there since around 9/3 waiting for a ship! According to my CA, there are several other people from Hawaii waiting too, and I'm wondering if any of them are on this board.

Yup, except mine's not produced yet. Slated for January production and late february delivery. Sucks that BMW of HNL is sold out so far in advance.

Well it turns out that an E92 was already en route and the deal with that buyer fell through, so my CA called me to let me know it was available. I switched from the E90 to the E92 and took delivery late last month. I'm very happy with the E92, and since it didn't have a few of the options that my ordered E90 did (metallic paint, PDC, comfort access) the price was about the same.

That's good to hear. I've seen a couple around town already. An alpine white a jet black and a titanium silver. Counting down the days! Too bad it takes a lot longer to get ours here in HI vs. the mainland.

The jet black was probably me

, and there is an AW E92 that parks in my building. Now I just have to start modding (H&R Sport Springs and Mtec Super White H8 on order)!

I think I have seen you! You park in PGC downtown? I saw the AW - that was actually the first one I saw. There's a 328 w/ europe plates in my building.

Thanks! Yeah, I have seen you too - funny yours was the 1st e92 I saw, then I saw another one in PGC appear shortly after. I used to park there, but now I'm up at bishop sq. The blue 328 w/ euro plates is there too.

I'm actually trying to sell my E46 M3 right now, but not much action. If I don't find a buyer soon, I'll have to turn her in to BMW.

Hey Imua...I ordered last saturday feb 3. I don't have a production no. yet, but am expecting it to take about 3 months according to the dealer. The last car I got I ordered in the 2nd week of january and took delivery in the 3rd week of April, so this sounds about right...

A friend of mine has a '97 M3, and he knows some BMW enthusiasts (not sure if they're on this forum or if they are BMW CCA members) who are always asking him when he's going to sell his car. I wonder if they would be able to find a buyer for your E46 M3. I'll ask my friend the next time I see him.

Thanks I would appreciate that. I've posted ads in all the usual areas (cars.com, craigslist, BMWCCA Hawaii website, etc.) but still no serious offers. The blue book on my car is $33k private and $29 dealer. I'm asking $32k, and I have an extended warranty, yet people seem to think that I'll accept $28k or less. BMW offered only $26, which is ridiculous.

Good luck with the waiting. I was going nuts towards the end. Fortunately, mine arrived about a week earlier than expected. It's worth it!

Thanks, you know exactly how I am feeling, just can't wait. I am using your timeline to get a rough estimate on how long it will take. Do you remember how long it took once it was on a ship?

About five weeks, but my ship made an extra stop in georgia that delayed things a couple of days. There's a lot of tracking resources available in the tracking forum. the hardest part was the waiting for it to leave germany.

I had a lot more detailed signature that had a lot of detail on my order timeline, but the system wouldn't let me keep it when I tried updating it for my delivery date. If you search for an old post of mine you might find it. (try search for "TRISTAN" in the tracking forum - that was the ship I was on.)
