With the cold spell biting here ... down from a steady 20+ to hovering around 10 degrees, I sensed my tyre pressures a bit low.

They were, slightly. Never known tyres to be so temperature sensitive.

But when checking I noticed one of my metal valve caps missing from a front wheel. Mmmmm... OK, then around the other side it was missing too ... Riiiiiight.

Some wee toerag has some nice shiney new valve caps for their bike no doubt. Least they didn't blag all 4.

Still, when I went into the Swiss equivalnet of Kwik-fit to get a few new ones, they refused payment and gave me a handful of metal valve caps.

All 4 replaced and a few spare.

Thats good news.

Someone stole two of my metal caps a few weeks ago I now have 4 plastic ones instead.

Only ying for me.

Exactly the same happened to me, black plastic for me too - & I had to pay for them!! Well Done getting some for free

Ask nicely at a tyre depot Sunny, they should have some.

Halfords sell the metals ones too, but I was too tight to pay the extra £1
