Alpina D3 or 330i MSport (Auto) - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

As title suggests, im still torn over which motor to go for.

I have a deal agreed on the 330i, but with it not being an EDyn model, its gonna be a lot thirsty than my 325i EDyn.

Haven't driven a D3 yet, but performance figures seem decent and a lot more frugal.

Any thoughts from those that have driven both?

Very different cars...

Test drive them both buddy for sure before making a decision.

D3s are impressive, but only 4 pots. You'll miss the extra 2.

Last time I went in my BMW dealer it was sad to see 12 of the 13 cars in the showroom had 4 cylinders. Sign of the times - make the most of the in-line 6s whilst they are still with us!

The clue is in your first post - (auto)

If you don't want a manual the 330i is difficult to justify and the big diesel makes a lot more sense
