Just listen to this thing.

http://www.autospies.com/video/One-O...otes-EVER-520/

Everyone remembers my anti IS-F rants, I am sure. I hated how that car drove. I always hate how bland Lexus is.

But, this time Lexus is not fooling around. Lexus hired a sound engineer to create the sound of the car to exactly sound like an F1 racing car. Completely serious. This is the most beautiful sounding car just about EVER!!! (yes, sounds even nicer than a Carrera GT, GT3 997, Enzo Ferrari, LP640). No other car I have heard sounds even close to this thing. 9000 rpm and 100% of torque available from 3700 to 9000 rpm. This is a true Ferrari killer.

When BMW is going into building bland and boring cookie-cutter turbocharged low-revving M cars and 5500 lbs heavy tanks like the X6 M and X5 M, Lexus seems to be trading places since this is what BMW used to do best. Engineeer masterpiece engines. BMW abandoned F1 racing program out of "environmental concerns", Toyota is still spending billions every year to build and race F1 cars.

Guess what?? This engine way surpasses the Euro 5 emission standards that is the most strict standards in Europe. That bursts the bubble of "efficient dynamics" and high-revvings not being clean enough.

BMW has nothing to even compete with this thing. I almost am beginning to lose respect of BMW and gain a lot more for Lexus. I never thought I would ever own a Lexus, but if Lexus can make a much cheaper and smaller version of this car with a beautiful sound and 9000 rpm, boy am I going to ditch my BMW or what!

I'd take this thing over anything else on the market (besides maybe a Veyron). Porsche CGT is the closest I've ever heard any production car sound as good as this but still not as good. Lexus doesn't really need to justfy its price to us; they will have no trouble selling every one they make....

Well, compared to what?? Enzo Ferrari?? That cost twice a much at around $600,000. Even a Ferrari 599 GTB costs exactly the same as the LFA. For someone looking for an exotic with that level of performance, it is somewhat of a bargain. Lexus still claims it will be losing money on every LFA they sell.

BTW, I am sure Lexus is not worried about the price tag since it will be LEXUS that will choose the buyers for these cars. Not the other way around.

,Typical ricer avoiding all the facts. This car is an overpriced FAIL x 1,000 for the money Lexus is asking this car should do the ring in like a 7:15 at least and it won't.

McLaren MP4-12C

How about the $200K McLaren, lighter, faster, smaller, midengine "budget" supercar?

At an estimated 3100#, with a 600HP/440lb-ft 3.8l twin turbo it's lighter and likely faster for about 60% of an LF-A, and a stronger race pedigree than Toyota. Neither car is what I call gorgeous, especially the LF-A.

This car will need to prove itself for its price tag. Yes, the production numbers are low, but it is difficult to justify this vehicle over many others on the market. Although 3200 lbs in this day and age is not bad, the V10 really added a bit of weight. One can purchase a Carrera GT in this current market in the low to mid 300s (ask me how I know - ) w/ a weight of 3000lbs.

Maybe they should have hired an engineer to make the car a better performer and not just sound good. This car will be sonned by the likes of the F458,LP-560, GT2, Maybe even the GTR

Come on. You really think that the LF-A could ever beat and NSX-R? According the Best Motoring, isn't that the faster car on earth? It seemed to beat everything (joke).

And to someones point earlier - no, I'm not shopping for a car in this price range. If I were, I wouldn't step foot in a Lexus dealership to inquire about this car. I would still think they're crazy charging that much money for that car. Harsh ride, no better performance than a ZR-1? Epic FAIL.
Come on, Lexus' are BMWs for women for crying out loud.

How do you know its performance is not up to par? You think Lexus would enter the car in Le Mans 24 hour series multiple times means they were confident it can beat all those cars???

Its unofficial Nurburgring laptime is 7:23 almost tying Viper ACR SRT-10, which is faster than the ZR1, GT-R V Spec, let alone a standard GT-R or GT2.

The car is still almost 1 year away from production. I am sure it will have a lot more credentials to back it up by then.

In Nurburgring 24 hours series, it placed 4th in its class because there were some electrical issues happening with the two prototype LF-As. However, it recorded the fastest single lap out of all cars in the class.
