E92 335i Test Drive on Long Island

I've been waiting patiently for my 335 to arrive. In that time, my SA and I have been emailing each other, since he's just discovering the car too. When he first got a 335 in, he told me to come on down and drive it so I could get it out of my system. That was about 3 weeks ago.

I finally had time to get down there today, and man did we have a blast. The only problem was that it was close to rush hour, so finding open space was tough.

These vids are BIG - so give them time to download.

The first time I got to wind it a little - first straightaway. The shifter was still not broken in, and I had to give it a little more force than expected to get it to stick into second.

Me breaking the back loose a little on a 90 degree turn.
I had the DSC and DTC on (button pushed but not for 3 seconds), so it caught me fairly quickly.

Best straight line wind out. Finally got some room to wind it out while talking about the 2007 X5's.

This was from Competition BMW in Smithtown. It was a space grey 335i with coral red interior and sport and premium packages.

Oh, and those sport seats are excellent. Wow.

I feel bad for whoever buys that car, I just testdrove it on Monday at Competition. I wasn't able to drive the car as hard as I wanted due to traffic everywhere, I just wanted to take some turns with it at speed, but really couldn't.

Lol... That thing sounds pretty mean, what did you guys think of the coral? Is it a little too bright the way it looks in the pics on here or is it a bit darker IRL?

was that the grey pop trim? love to know your opinions on that also... the space grey with coral and grey pop seems to be so popular, I have to say Im considering it by how it looks just on the photos here cant wait to see it live...

P.S. thank you for the videos, great quality, really get a good feel for the sound of the engine...

Nice - thanks for posting. Q: Noticed a red light indicator in the instrument panel - know what's that for?

It's odd, I think that red light might be some artifact of the camera. None of us noticed it when we were driving.

Honestly, I LOVE the coral. My wife and a bunch of other people I've spoken to don't either. Don't know why. But my opinion is that the coral on black looks just badass enough and isn't too much.

Yeah it was the grey pop. All around great interior.
