My girl and my 335 at Skyline Drive, VA

Nixon cool pix camera. All images downsized. I tried and I think it was fine. No pro skills at all. I never take a pic with the top of the tree or whatever showing. I like having the camera more at eye level. And I tried to get my girl or car from scenic angles. Discuss.

nice pics... a bit too dark. Too many shadows on faces. Might try to face away from the sun. but the racks are bright and see-able

Definitely too much shadow on the car. You need to get on the other side of the car with the sun behind you and the car in front of you and shoot the lit side of the car. Or wait till the moment the sun falls behind the mountains and shoot any direction with the warm dusk light - but you might want to bring a tripod and open the shutter for a few seconds depending on the available light.

Yes, I was unable to get rid of the shadow no matter where I stood, it seemed. I didnt have a tripod or anything pro. Just my girls point and shoot camera.

Thanks for feedback about the car and girl. I posted this in the photo section of e90post and it turned into a 10 page thing only about the girl. Nobody noticed the car in the other thread, .

Next time I take pics of the ride (car) there aint gonna be anything else in the pics.

Keep your horizons level (don't tilt them like in pic 22.) Also, try to keep your back to the sun, or use flash if there is no way around having the sun in front of you. Yes, even using flash outdoors in bright sunlight is sometimes necessary. Unless you are going for a silhouette shot of course....

And you know this forum, don't post pics with chicks in them and not expect 90% of the comments to be about the chick. This place should be called "LeghumpersPost" sometimes.....

The problem is not being able to pick the times i am there. I will be getting a dslr soon and will be going back to try some more pro. This trip was just for fun, the intention wasnt even to take good looking pics.

Thanks
