Mobridge on MY09 E90

Hello,

I am very interested in the Mobridge ABT2010 for my 2009 328xi, but their website states that they do not support MY09 vehicles. Does anyone know why and will they update the requirements soon? Anyone from EAS care to chime in? This looks cheaper than retrofitting OEM BT + 6FL or MOST iPod...

FYI I don't have Nav.

Thanks

Hoping for CiC compatibility by the end of the year. Haven't had a chance to test on a MY09+ Professional CD to see if this is an issue or not.

Alright. Shouldn't be much of a difference, the radio is the same I believe, only thing is that the car is no longer prewired for Telephone integration.

Keep us posted

Just got a response from someone at mobridge - apparently BMW changed the software (again) in MY09 vehicles. They have to completely redesign their software for these cars so they guess it'll be available around mid-2010.

"Completely redesign"? Then BMW must have thrown out the entire dev environment and started over... hmm.

I keep thinking the same thing... either something is wrong with BMW or wrong with mObridge. Definitely something, somewhere, somehow must be wrong in the way these MOST cars are coded, as dealers are having all kind of issues every time a car is coded to fix problems as well.

Not really "completely redesign", but things have changed significantly in MY09 models, a LOT of BMW pieces are having trouble also (Bluetooth, Sirius, etc).

We started seeing this back on 7-series models when the change was made in MY06. On the mObridge side, it will likely be a software correction only - in which current modules can be flash updated by the end user if out in the field.

Patiently waiting so I can retrofit my 09 with BT. I have the factory NAV and 6FL. Is that going to be an issue Tom?

It's a no-go at the moment, as soon as the update is completed - we will make the announcement.

Thanks for the offers, but we'll need someone close to our SoCal office when testing is ready.
