I'd be interested to hear how it holds up against scuffs etc - you know feet on the side skirts etc?

pjs - Iv got an eisennman quad on order and a carbon fibre quad exit splitter which il get wrapped in matte black before it goes on.

v24mis - Basically i recieved a help sheet from the wrappers. It states that the dvla only need to know if the colour of the vehicle is permanantly changed. If police are to stop you its pretty easy to display to them that the car is wrapped via door shuts and under the bonnet.

NC123, Great looking car. Very aggressive. Is the Msport kit Genuine or a replica? How much was it? Did you have it sprayed original colour first then wrapped or just fitted them and wrapped?

Have you informed the DVLA of the colour change yet? This will also show on the Log bok as a colour change? and also on subsequent HPi checks.

How much has the whole transformation cost?

I like that apart from the tinted rear lights which look cheap and Corsa-like, imo.

The M-sport kit is genuine. It was bought from M-style and i paid 1000 for supply, paint and fit. They had the kit on special at the time. Yes the kit was sprayed first to the original colour.

The DVLA only need to be informed if its a permanant colour change. Its easy to display to someone that the car is wrapped if need to be proved.

well I like the tinted rears and I think they would spoil the theme if they were standard lenses, I have had some tint spray for a while now ready to do mine , just need to find the time .

Looks great although not sure why you wouldn't buy a white car in the first place

Wonder if you'll get pulled over for the mis-match? Personally I'd check with the DVLA before believing the people who wrapped it.

Neil.

You only need to inform the DVLA of permanent colour changes, however, you do need to inform your insurer.

SKY TV vans etc dont inform DVLA of their wraps as it is only temporary and changed quite regularly... private cars are no different

I'm not convinced the wrap actually helps paintwork. You need to be very careful when you remove it as it can lift the clearcoat (you can see many red vans with the outline of PARCEFARCE on them).

Neil.
