I hate my 330i!

Not for any particular reason...

...well, besides the fact that I test drove the 335i coupe and sedan this past weekend, back-to-back and all I have to say is do not drive these cars if you enjoy your present car and have no means to trading up.

I wasn't buying into the hype and hoopla of the new 335is coming out and didn't really care for them much. But I thought to myself, "Self, since we're already here, and we may need a new car, why not give this pretty little car a spin." Woah!!! Huge MISTAKE.

I'm not gonna go into details of the ride and all that good stuff of how fast it is; I know most of us have already read about the 335i and are getting sick of hearing about it. I know I was, but that was before I took these cars out. I now completely know why these people are posting their test-drive experiences. It's to keep people like me from test driving the 335i and hating myself after doing so.

Just a few quick notes:

I drove these at Tischer BMW in Silver Spring.

Sedan: 6MT, Titanium Silver, Beige Leather, Fully loaded minus PDC, Active Steering.

Looked and felt like my 330i on the inside and out. Power-wise, it was heart-stopping. So much more power than my 330i. And I am always real biased about my car. It just went through PDI and I was the first customer to give it a spin on route 29. I didn't want to screw the person who was gonna buy the car, so I kept it under 100mph and 4500 rpms. The engine and exhaust is intoxicating!! And this was only around 3-4K rpms.

Coupe: This car is actually the reason why I hate myself. It had Coral Red leather and Grey Poplar trim on a Space Grey exterior. I fell in love with it, and I am not a huge fan of the grey/silver family either. The mileage was at 1238 and according to me and the CA, the car was broken in. Obviously, I was able to open it up and needless to say, it was fast. I already thought the 335i sedan I drove was faster than my 330i, and I wasn't able to open it up. Now after driving this car that was borken in, I am convinced of the hype. And I thought that the 335i sedan's engine and exhaust note was intoxicating! At WOT, this car just sounds incredible. I cannot begin to go into how mind-blowing it is. This is the perfect car.

The point of this thread?

Do not drive the 335i or you'll be doing this to yourself afterwards. Oh, and to inform Donny of where he can see the Coral Red interior if he hasn't yet. I also was told that Tischer will be getting a Montego Blue X3 in this week, if anyone is curious to see it.

You finally saw your coral red...so did you like it?

Didn't I tell you about the engine/exhaust sounds (esp at WOT). Its spectacular!!

Well, I'm hooked as well. The mrs. and I have started a 335i fund, so that's where all my spare change is going to these days...

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...20&postcount=8

if it wasnt for my cab Id be crying just as loud as everyone, but reality will sit in
and one has to realize that we're all once in AWE! also when the e90s came out.
its a passing thing, this 335i euphoria is short live, like anything else.

They will take the Agony Pill when the e92/M3. comes out soon.
You got something to enjoy, yours is atleast a 330i

Im really waiting to hear what the 4 door M3 is going to be like... It will be way out of my price range, but Im sure it will be that much better than the 335 sedan...

The rumors are saying 400hp, and Id assume torque will be north of 300...

SPEED KILLS!!!

Be happy with your 330i.

It's plenty fast enough.

You're absolutely right about the E92/E90-M3 being much better, but as Bav said, it's outta my price range. At least the 335i can still afford, especially the Sedan, which when priced, was only $2K more than my 330i. If I'd known, I would have waited.
