Post FBO, PTF tuned on 93 octane = 367whp and 470wtq

Retuned to optimize for 93 octane by proTUNING Freaks .

Mods: FBO. No meth. No E85. Straight 93 octane pump gas.

The car was a bit cool on the first run, but after a little warm up, the next runs were beautifully consistent. AFRs stayed right around 12. Previous 91 octane tune put down 343whp and 414wtq on STD. Overall, I'm very happy. Just wish there was a way to sustain the TQ/HP in the upper RPM - guess I need RBs...

The following is a graph showing the best runs from the 91 and 93 tunes against the OTS baseline tune. The OTS run and the 91 tune run were done back to back. 93 tune dyno run was done recently on a different day under slightly different conditions (see below).

Data log: http://www.datazap.me/u/dbworld4k/pt....09&tmax=16.39

Conditions:
  • Cobb OTS Baseline: 61.37 F 29.47 in-Hg Humidity: 19 % STD: 1.00
  • PTF 91 OCT: 61.67 F 29.46 in-Hg Humidity: 20 % STD: 1.00
  • PTF 93 OCT: 79.10 F 29.09 in-Hg Humidity: 67 % STD: 1.05

Wonder what made this car hold all that top end power. It's FBO on pump gas as well, no meth. Cobb STG2+ map. Hmm.

I know every car is different, but my 120k mile DP only Stock IC car made more whp on the Cobb OTS STG2+FMIC map and held more to redline.

Might want to check out your turbos to make sure they aren't shot, but PTF should be able to tell you this based on WGDC numbers.

Wagner FMIC. The IATs are high likely due to this being the 3rd consecutive pull on the dyno. Not enough fresh air moving in that situation.

Hmm... My wastegates are extremely stiff according to PTF. Yours is making the same peak HP as mine, but holding about 20whp more at 6500 RPM than mine.

Not really a good comparison IMO...dynos can read much differently.

If you had a baseline of your car stock, it would help, 405 seems really high for an Ots map/your mods

Wagner ic. Have you seen a report that shows it to be pretty bad? Mosselman published it.

Can't compare without a baseline. Also your car made 2 whp more in one run and the same whp in another. Made 70wtq less than OP though. Your numbers are reading with torque first and power second if you read your graph

Edit: Also not a good idea running Stage 2+FMIC on the stock FMIC...

All Dynojet 424 and 224 models read within <3% of each other. Your variable is a 5,000 lb roller and a correction factor (we are both using standard).

Here it is vs baseline.

2 whp is a .5% variation, not sure what you are suggesting. I was also comparing WHP, NOT WTQ. Torque can be achieved with much less airflow, the WHP dropping off on the OPs car was a suggestion that his turbos may be lacking airflow to hold boost. This was for numbers comparison only. CAT swept from 80-121* on this pull. The stock FMIC in a cool environment appears to be sufficient for a single-gear pull. I actually ran a FMIC-style map all winter and rarely saw CATs above 100*. In the summer WITH a 7" VRSF I see over 100* after a couple gears.

What else?

Give Wedge a call and you'll notice the difference, I bet you wouldn't be disappointed.

I would be disappointed with those numbers. If you're FBO shouldn't it be closer to 400rwhp?? Granted I don't see meth or FMIC in your signature.
