I am finally picking up my 330d on Wednesday . It was parked directly outside the showroom this morning, and I just wanted to drive it away then.

I have the same wheels, they work really well on the car.

Lovely car and I like the colour - bit like Topaz Blue on the E46.

Ok guys..
I have last taken some interior shots .....and also spent 5 hours despeckling with Lemm Klay & then applying Zymol Ti wax . Anyoen who has doen this know just how much effort goes in the first time you prepare the surface, key it with HD cleanse and then apply the wax. Then buff it back to a smooth finish.

The resulting finish seems to give a more even color that is more saturated. Only 2 or 3 more coats to go if this weather continues.

Great pics and that really is quite a stunning car.

Just noticed... the alarm light under the mirror (clowns nose I think it might be called..?) seems quite flat now.

Also just wondering... have you got the seats as low as they can go or raised a bit?

So the 335d still gets the MPG gauge then ... not an oil temperature gauge like the 335i - interesting.

About the wheels: I've driven 335i/335d with 17s, 18s AND 19s and there really is virtually NO difference in the ride quality at all. And yes, I did seek out some proper English pot-holed country lanes and raised cats' eyes etc to properly investigate this. To sum up, the ride on the 19s is really a LOT better than it has any right to be! Its certainly vastly better than the 3.0d X3 SE (no sport suspension) I had for a while a year ago. As to why I think the 19s ride almost as well as the 17s (there really is VERY little in it at all) is a) because all tyres fitted to whatever size wheel are run-flats with VERY stiff side walls and b) the profiles aren't that much different from wheel to wheel - rears 17s 255/40, 18s 255/35, 19s 255/30. Only 10mm difference in profile across all wheel sizes and all runflats with very thick and rigid side walls.

As you can see, I agonised over this for some time before ordering my 335d coupe. I've gone for the 19s as I think they are sooooo cool-looking..... with very little to pay in terms of a harsh ride as aforementioned. Come trade in time, the 19s will be the wheels to have on the car (it will certainly book with 18s (and leather) here in the UK ) just like any 6 series needs the elipsoid 19s.

As for the rest of my spec for my car which will be with me in around 5 weeks:
335d coupe
space grey,
jade grey leather
19s
Alu trim
adaptive headlights
high beam assistant
blue tooth
Hi Fi speakers
comfort entry
anthracite headlining
storage pack

CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!

I just what to tell you that tyre-profile are not in mm, but percentage of the tyrewidth.

Why did you choose the 335d coupé over the 335i, if I may ask?

I discovered this morning that the seats could go down another 10mm or so.

multiply the width by the aspect ratio.
so 255 x 0.40

sidewall depth
255/40 = 102mm
255/35 = 89.25mm
255/30 = 76.5 mm

makes sense as each time the wheel goes up an 1nch, 1/2" (12.7mm) per sidewall needs to be lost.

or even go the whole hog and get 285/25 20's = 71.25mm

I saw a Porsche Cayenne @ Silverstone yesterday with 315/25ZR23 (twenty threes)....no doubt spent a fortune to look daft.

1. Lazy torque.
2. More economy (for the planet's sake rather than my pocket...).
3. More refined at cruising speeds.
4. Whilst more expensive than the 335i, step auto does come as standard on the 335d.
5. I have 9 points on my license (all speeding-related) and I figure the 335d won't DARE me to go FASTER like the 335i would!!!!
