And so it begins

Government run health care is getting cheaper and cheaper....

The USPSTF advises AGAINST mammography for women aged 40 to 49 and only every 2 years for women aged 50 and greater.

Previous guidelines are annual for women 40 and over.

I am actually happy that they started with such a hot button issue...I would love to have the heavily democratic groups like Planned Parenthoods, and NOW all worked up.

Good luck getting mammograms paid for now...

I heard that the U.S. Senate voted down an amendment to the "healthcare bill" today which would have prevented taxpayer money going to abortions. Allowing 50,000,000 murdered babies since 1973 wasn't enough. Now, all of us will have to pay to have more killed if this bill gets through congress.

I gave one of Harry Reid's aids an earful until he hung up on me.

Regardless of your thoughts on abortion, it is not government's role to pay for them.

Following that line of logic, than anyone that gets into an accident or has a certain long term ailments or sickness would be euthanized.

Whether your pro choice or pro life, you have to recognize that it is a very sensitive issue. Recent polling has shown that 60% of the population believes that abortions should not be funded by any federal dollars.

I personally don't think the government's role is to pay for ANY individual's health care, abortion or otherwise.....

There was some research, although not definitive, that mammography isn't the best course until later in life, that the squeezing and radiation can cause more damage (IIRK) while the hugely less invasive manual breast exam is equally as effective for that age group.

Best regards,
Wede

The government doesn't pay for anything, taxpayers do.

I will gladly support any plan that advocates manual examination. In fact, I'll gladly donate my time towards performing as many of those exams as possible!
