Hello all, I am new to the thread here. I got all excited today because of the warm weather and sunshine. I was already thinking about taking the snow tires off and putting on the performance rubber but then came to a realization. Just when one thinks the weather is going to start to turn a monster snow storm sneaks in and smacks us in the face! Anyway, I am waiting for a local meet to go to whenever it is organized.

Ya I almost put my wheels on this weekend also but didn't feel like having to drive my other car if the weather got shitty. I am in akron there should be a northern ohio meet sometime.

Yeah, I would wait until at least 4/1 to put the summer tires back on. I usually wait until we get a consistent week or two of above 50 degree weather. The summer tires are much harder than the winter ones, so they don't work nearly as well below that temperature.

Welcome to the thread... We are having a small meet in Columbus on Sunday, which isn't too far from Kent (about 2 hrs). It would be awesome if you could come.

Ok guys I've let The Pub know that we'll be there on Sunday I reserved a section of the patio area and I told him to expect 15-20 people. I'm going to shoot for being there at around noon to 11:30. I'll stop in between now and then to confirm things (and to enjoy a Guinness...) and hopefully catch the valet guy to secure some spots up front. I asked and The Pub people say it's not usually busy around that time, so we really shouldnt have a problem parking near each other.

Anyway, looking forward to meeting you guys Sunday!

Doh... you missed a pretty good meet. There were 11 of us there for a couple hours. I was surprised how many 1ers were there actually. The M5s were pretty sweet!

It says push the start/stop button. I don't have that. I have the key. So I assume I should just turn the ignition on without depressing the clutch? Not sure, I'll have to try it out.

On my E46 I just turned the key to the accessory position I think. Just turn it to where all the lights and stuff come on but don't start the car.
