e46 M3 vs. e92 335i **VIDEO**
Alright guys, the video we have ALL been waiting for, e46 M3(6mt) vs e92 335i.(6mt).
http://media.putfile.com/m3-vs-335i ----------SPOILERS----------------------------- It's a drivers race, plain and simple, no butt's, no iff's. Everything was pretty much even, passenger weight in M3 was 430lbs, passenger weight in 335i was 415lbs, both had 3/4 tank gas remaining. In the first video, the M3 jumps and pulls and keeps the lead all the way to about 110...in the second video, the 335i kinda has momentum starting, so it's tie all the way until the 2-3 mis-shift by the 335i driver. Given equal drivers, equal conditions, these cars are even..hence the identical 1/4 e.t. and trap. |

Got Seoul?

Its a drivers race in every car so this is nothing new. A missed gear or bad shifting will make all the difference. The E46 is simply faster in the numbers plain and simple.

Great vid.
1st race was more of a fair match since both vehicles started relatively same at the same speed(from what I can tell). 2nd race, 335i driver was being smart and started by pulling the speed up a little before the 3rd honk(I do it all the times. ).Are they both stock? I assume SMG M3 would've done a tad better because of quicker shifting. Please post more videos if you got some. ![]()

they both 100% bone stock. there arent really any other videos..one of them is just first gear and i get the initial pull but the 335i mis-shifts. the videos i posted r the best ones out of the bunch. tommorow im going to get video from the 335i, so youll see it from inside the 335i.

M3 Rocks! :rocks:
I love the looks of the of the E92 and the idea behind the bi-turbos, but my heart is behind the M3, even if it lost. I just love that car. But I'm sure the E92 will have a lot of potential. Now all we need is a 70mph-0mph braking comparison test video followed by a 200ft skidpad. Personal request: most consecutive doughnuts. |

SMG vs 6MT is a rough one, unless you're racing a shift monster. Your M3 sounds great, btw, keep the videos coming!

Great video, i'm glad the 335i has so much potential in terms of speed. I wonder what BMW has in store for the kind of power bomb they're going to put in the E92 M3

Boost junkie
|
Next time you guys race tell the 335 guy to brake boost from a roll.... That is a huge advantage boosted cars have. He will get 1-2 cars jump at the start and will be able to maintain it based on the 1st race they had.
Brake Boost: Hold the brake with the left foot and press the gas pedal with the right foot as much as you can to build boost, but still maintain your rolling speed... At the 3rd honk leave the brake pedal and plant the right foot to the ground and grab on.
