My Jet Black E90 LCI build thread - updated 6-9-16

Instagram is @abrenneman if anyone wants to follow the build.

6/23/16

6/9/16

Update - 6/4/16
Finally put together a quick exhaust video if anyone is interested

Had a friend remove most of the paint swirls over the weekend; unfortunately the car got covered in bugs on the way home.

Took a few shots with a friend's M4 the other day; mostly got shots of his car but here are a few that my car was in.

Finally installed the ST coilovers which I'm absolutely loving. I'm also aware that everyone despises offset front tags. Enjoy!

A few months ago in monster truck mode

On stock wheels a looong time ago

Garage List
Someone's selling a remote control front plate that hides under the bumper when you want it to.

Can you take a pic with some better light on the bumper? With all that black in shadow it all sort of gets lost.

Coilovers are definitely near the top of the list. I was likely going to wait until the spring to lower it because of the fear of damaging the front lip.

Thanks! Definitely my favorite mod thus far. I think I ended up into it $450 including paint.

It's pretty much one of the only lips that will fit the M3 rep bumper, so quite a few vendors sell it. I got mine from Mod Bargains.

I picked it up from a local member, but it's from Khoalty.com

Thanks for the new pics. I have a Jet Black E91, and I was wondering how it would look with all that black going on. Yours looks great.

Thanks! You won't be disappointed - the ride quality is pretty on par with the OEM sport suspension. I kept reading people saying that they don't go low enough but frankly these go more than low enough. I'm tucking all of the tires and there is still plenty of thread left on the coilovers.

Can you count the number of threads you have left so I have an idea going into the install where to set them? I want to tuck tires a bit, but not slam it.

I want to say it's like 4-5 full threads.

Your car looks fantastic man - very clean!

What is your wheel and tire setup? Your stance and wheel setup is pretty much exactly what I was hoping to accomplish on mine.

Can you shoot a driver side shot that shows how flush they sit? Rears look almost spot on in the first pic and the fronts maybe a bit in. Did you roll your fenders not have to?

Sorry for the late reply! Wheel/tire setup is Avant Garde M359 front is 19x9 +35 235/35r19, rear is 19x10 +38 265/30r19. No fender mods or spacers although I'd need a very small spacer if I were to lower the front any more.

The setup is relatively flush with the front sunken in a bit and the rears being a pretty tight setup. If you were going for a more aggressive look, spacers up front would probably be the way to go. Here are two pictures from a shoot I recently did, hopefully this gives you a little better idea.

I don't mind offset tags, better than putting holes in a m3 front. I'm going with offset when I get my m3 bumper as Cali is another state that requires front plates.
