Smoked / clear / red tail lights

What you guys think of smoked tail lights? I have them on my 328 and think they would look good on the e90 rear lights.

Or on the lighter colored cars maybe something like this would look good - to replace the higher red reflector with a clear piece.

I also like the clear tops. The smoked tail lights will interfere with the reverse lights that my old eyes need when backing up at night.

I didn't even notice the twin exhaust on the bottom pic.. that does look awesome.

And with the first pic I think they actually did stretch the car in the smoked light pic

Actually I think clear lights would look terrific on a light car (silver, white, acrtic). The smoked would look great on darker (black, SG, MB). The red tail lights would look good on nothing

Bump. Anyone know when the smoked rear lights will be available? Are these already available in Europe?

It's not available here yet. I think that magazine scan is from a European accessories brochure.

Hmmm. Do u think if we (North Americans) e-mail BMW Canada or US about the Black Line tail lights, they will see that there is demand for this option and try to bring it over to North America? I know that in Europe, u can also get a 5-series with clear tail lights, but in North America, that option is not available. Perhaps BMW NA doesn't think there is demand for that option? Well, I want to make sure they know there is demand for the E90 Black Line tail lights! I've already sent them some e-mails, and gotten my friends to e-mail them too. If u have a sec, send them a quick e-mail and tell them we want those Black Line tail lights.
