Will this e93 part fit an e92?

Does anyone know if the rear cup holder insert cartridge from an e93 will fit in an e92 rear console? It's part #7 in the pic below...

If you look up the console for the E92 and E93 on realoem, they are the same part number, but also looking up the rear console for an E92 show it having part number seven that you are referring to, so it is the same cup holder in an E92 335 as an E93 - you seem to have a 2008 335, so you should have that cup holder, what do you have there instead?

Hey Rob, it's me - Jay from Peabody... Happy Holidays my friend!

The coupe just has an open storage compartment there - just like in the pic but with part #8 covering the bottom. Does your rear cup holder pop out easily? I'm thinking it's just a cartridge that I might be able to pop in there. Perhaps we can meet and test it out one of these days if you're up for it.

Jay - let me take a look at it and see if I can pop it out without too much work, car is in storage for the winter, but your welcome to come take a look - I will PM you and let you know how I make out.

No, it's a not a direct swap, you need to replace the entire rear tunnel. I did it on my coupe:

Thanks for the info guys. So what is it exactly about the E93 console that the E92 console doesn't have?

The cup holder, and the appropriate receptacle for the cup holder.

I know that but I like the look of the e93 console better with the cup holders instead of the oddment tray in the e92. Don't know if it's worth ~$250 to me to do it though. If I could have simply added the cupholder and not the whole console I'd do it.
