BMW lighting warranty and H3/H8 installation - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Hey guys, I just picked up someH3 and H8 bulbs for my E90, tried looking for ways to get to the bulb, but online it shoes I have to open this cover behind the headlights to put my H8s in. (https://www.namotorsports.net/docs/MDSLUXH8LCI.pdf) But theres a sticker that says
BMW German warranty on it, so I gave BMW a call, saying whats that sticker about. They said if that sticker is broken/removed with out me ever servicing my lights, it will void my whole lighting warranty. Now it seems like theres also (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28879) I am actually not sure which is for my H3 and H8s, any advice on where I can find the exact DIY guide online? Thanks guys!

i dont ever remember a sticker on my lights when i replaced the angel eyes and cornering lights..i have an 07..

because there's no sticker where the cap is. i don't know about his though..

OP what year is your car?

Its a2009, apparently the only wsay is to break it and go in. Luckily there is a piece of wire over mine it looked like it alrdy broke lol so i just installed my GP thunders, not very bright though>.<

Yes, if you compare to stocky, it is less bright during daytime. But look awsome sunrise or sunset. Another cons on this bulb is when you have your headlight turn on, because the headlight draw from the same power source, your GP thunder will become dimmer like the OEM bulbs.

Yeah, the warrenty sticker is at the back of the headlight on the E90 LCI.

The guys from Cali were all talking about it when they upgrade the LCI angels... they had to break the seal.

Calvino's DIY guide is for pre-LCI E90s... it's not applicable to yours.
