If you want to get out of the East Bay, try these:
-Hwy 1 (to Stinson Beach, Mt.Tam)
-Hwy 9 (Saratoga)
-Hwy 84 (Woodside)

Honorable Mention:
-Hwy 35

Walnut Creek - Marsh Creek Road.single lane through hills and some nice turns. Fairly open as well...Esp at night..just be careful...lots o' skunks. It sits in the shadow of Mt Diablo.
My fave times are sunrise and Just before dusk.
