hello & screen wash problem
Hi everyone. I'm new to this forum but couldn't find an ' introduce yourself section'.
I have a 2006 325se coupe which has proved faultless until now. Went to use the washwipe system yesterday to find that nothing reached the windscreen jets but poured out from under the wheel arch and onto the drive. The headlight washers worked however. Is this a common fault? Could it have something to do with the freezing temps lately? How easy is it to access the bottle etc. Have never topped this up even as I hardly use the car and BMW top it up when serviced so it's only ever had the proper fluid. |

Welcome!

This has happened to me also (with a different car.) I disconnected the main hose under the hood at the washers, and then activating the washer control inside the car pumped the resevior out into a bucket (and dumped down toilet), and filled with a washer fluid with a lower freeze point. It's more complicated on this car, but probably the same thing needs to be done. ![]() |

Definitely sounds like the line froze and then cracked on you. You probably just need to replace the hose or the connection and you should be good to go.
