Hi guys,

Seriously contemplating the setup that my title suggest on my n54 with RB's...

But can't find any videos on this at all?

From my research, It would be the same as DP's with a n55/335is mid section and BMW PE..

Has anyone heard or seen any vids?

I have that setup with resonators in place of the secondary cats. It gets a little raspy above 4k during partial throttle, but other than that I think it sounds pretty good. WOT it sounds great. I don't have any videos of it though.

I'm reading a few things in regards to the raspy-ness... Now rasp sounds different on every car, how would you describe the rasp?

How was it before the resonators as well?

I never heard it without the resonators. I had them welded in immediately after cutting the cats out because I was told it sounds pretty bad without the resonators. The rasp is really only bad on partial/light throttle above 4k for my car. The rasp sounds like a riced out Honda, but a much deeper tone with a little less crackling. Give the car more gas and it goes away though. WOT it has a very light rasp, but sounds exotic. Its kinda hard to describe, but I don't care much for the sound when the rasp begins.

Would you do it again if you had the choice?

I think the car sounds exotic already with the DP's and PE!

You have a great exhaust set-up now. Do not risk adding smoking and smell issues by going completely catless.

Honestly I probably wouldn't. I liked the sound better with the secondary cats in place. The smell got much worse too. The small theoretical gain from removing the secondary cats isn't worth it in hindsight.

Appreciate the feedback and comments guys. I'm wondering if the gains may be more with RB's?

Also, from a sound perspective... Looking for a unique exotic pitch with a nice bang on DCT shifts.

Which engine base do you have? I have all my cats and my exhaust does the whiplash effect on gear change but it's less exaggerated and subtle. But, you really hear it when you get under a bridge or especially in the tunnel. I think secondary cat delete will get you there but deleting both cats would make it sound like a diesel super car. Lol

If I stay on it full throttle I get very little high end rasp. Partially throttle I get horrible rasp above 4k. This is with catless dp and secondary cat delete with vibrant resonators in their place.

Hahaha!! Diesel Supercar!

I'm currently N54 with AR DP, stock mid and BMW PE.

All this droning and rasp is turning me off, but the BMW Performance Exhaust is supposed to be the best to eliminate these 2 things, and tbh I don't have any of those problems today with that setup.

We do, it is extremely raspy the way it is. But resonators in place of 2nd cats actually helps with the rasp.
