Happy 2010 everyone! Heres a nice little nugget. BMW actually has an M Power App for the iPhone. What does it do? Well, its like a G-Tech, it uses the iPhone's sensors in order to calculate:

Speed
Acceleration
Lateral acceleration (Lateral g)
Travel time for a specified distance
Acceleration to a specific speed

The App comes with three different skins: "Sport", "Lava" and "Midnight"

Very cool from BMW to make this App and nice Skins. Unfortunatly it does not calulate hp based on car weight and acceleration, like similar Apps do. TryDynolicous, it gives amazingly real hp figures:

Slowly waiting for the registration email to come in so I can adjust the skins. :P

Does suck that it doesn't calculate HP, but it's free, where Dynolicious is not.

K, first thing I've noticed is that if you don't go right when you press start, it'll totally skew your results. I want an app that senses motion.

(the other app I use has a tree, and that provides you enough time to get going, too).
