is the maintenance warranty worth it?

i have a 2007 e92, with 44K miles on it. I'm close to purchasing the extended warranty, and i am debating on the maintenance warranty. the price i'm looking at is ~ 2k. I will be getting rid of the vehicle at about 100K miles. Ive already replaced the rear brakes. im on the original HPFP.

correct me if im wrong, but with a synthetic oil change every 15K miles ( 3 oil changes at ~$200 each ) , BRAKES (~$300) , i'm looking at $900 bucks. lets add another $500 bucks for stuff i may be missing, and that brings the total proposed maintenance to $1400 for up to 95K miles.

either i am missing something , or why would i buy the maintenance warranty for 2K?

the standard warranty may be worth it, but now i'm questioning that...

you're right, it's not worth it, I'm not sure why people buy it. Luckily though my car came with the extended maintenance but it's definitely not something I would have bought on my own.

I'd pass on extended maintenance, for the exact reasoning you mentioned. Extended warranty could very well be worth it though - you should be able to get that for around $2200. It's more peace of mind than anything.

from the dealer, brake front and rear will cost more than $300, although they are quoting $130 for oil change... spark plugs, water pump also due within that period but even with all that, yeah i will still skip the maintenance pkg. as people mentioned above, if you are keeping your car stock or not planning to do extensive mod, extended warranty could be very well worth it...

yeah, my front brakes were just done, my rear brakes need to be done, so i assume one set of brakes shouldnt be more than 300.

I do have a JB3 on the car as far as tuning mods go, so the turbos/injectors may go soon.. that being said perhaps the extended warranty is worth it...
