Why did I pay for rim and tire protection? Well, I'll tell you...

Yeah yeah...I know.... I was just about to switch over to my 18s when I suffered another casualty that took out two tires.

The price paid was only for a wheel alignment.

Looking at the cost, as you can see it could've been much worse. The coverage provided already paid for half my warranty price.

The amount of time in the shop and damage done to my vehicle simply from driving on Los Angeles streets is staggering. Truly, it is.
Suspension parts replaced, headlights replaced and tweaked over and over and over again. Wheels replaced, tires replaced, bumper replaced.

My next car is going to be an off road capable SUV. I am sick of this shit.

It will suck gas like it has a hole in its tank though.

How can they charge $300 in labor for mounting and balancing 2 tires? Should be $60-70 at most

I had a 5.7 Hemi GC before my 335, and before I bought my 335 I was dead-set on an SRT, I knew every damn review, and drove a TON of them on test drives, etc. Out of the ~10 different ones I drove, which isn't easy considering how rare they are, 1 had trans problems which are VERY rare. It would make a grinding noise on the down shift. My hemi GC had a custom Diablosport tune, plus a few other things (TB, intake, etc.), and it was a blast to drive. Moral of the story, even the 5.7L hemi's are fun especially as a "bad weather" vehicle, but no other SUV compares to an SRT, IMO.

I took one out and threw it into a corner, gave it a blip of gas, and I was sold on how well the damn thing handled bone stock. Unfortunately I couldn't find one in my price range that didn't have 80-90k+ miles.

Wait a sec, what is this $300 labor for wheel and tire insurance? I thought it was just a simple $50 deductible per occurrence??? The parts are free (rim and tire) - the deductable... so why r you paying $242???

Mount and balance should be included as free as part of the wheel and tire protection. The only charge should be $50 per visit/claim

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say you my friend have terrible luck with potholes.

Granted our roads are terrible, and probably even worse in your area than mine.

Swerve brotha!!!

The OP states the $242 was for an alignment.

I also have the warranty. Does it cover aftermarket tires?

That's the only thing I'm miffed about- the rim lip took a nick, but it wasn't bad enough to replace the rim- as it held air, and it wasn't bent or cracked in any way.

Haha- hey Danny!!

Normally yes, I would swerve, but unfortunately we all took a hit with a raised rail in the middle of the road that was part of a railroad track running the length of the street

I hope you are well.

Haha- genius! Did you know that local town ordnance actually makes it unlawful to fill in a pothole yourself? Ask me how I know.
