Yep. Used it to get my car in August and it helped me get just under $10k off. keep in mind though dealers at the time were itching to get rid of 09's so that also helped in the discount.

well worth the $40 or whatever I paid for ccc. Won't look at buying cars the same anymore

I used it for negotiating my 08 335 in October 2008. Got a great deal, about 10k off, but again they were looking to get rid of the remaining 08s. Salesman looked down the cost list and said it was accurate.

I never checked the Car cost Canada but the dealer showed me the invoice price. I am not sure how people are getting 10K discounts when the mark up is only 5K.
Then again this is for a 2010 model when they bring the 2011 (Mid April) there may be more room to negotiate. But by that time it may be lil too late for me because I am doing ED on my car and picking it up on the April 6th

So you are getting a 2011? E90 or E92?

Their discounts include the incentives BMW was offering at the time. They were likely getting the cars at or slightly above dealer cost, less the incentive.

On a new model, for which there are no incentives, figure on 3 - 5 % above dealer cost.

No, that would be a violation of the terms and conditions of Car Cost Canada.

All about timing....you can always get a better deal when the new models arrive. If buying a car from the lot, buying in the last week and taking delivery before the end of the month also helps (gets car off dealers inventory).

A coworker who is an exec with the BMW Club of AB gave me the carcost printout. Personally delivered it to my office without even asking.

I literally bought my car on July 31st, the last day of the $3000 rebate on d's. I figure the CA and his Mgr were pretty hungry...especially since it was their d sitting on the lot, not sold for months, appearing like dead inventory. To be honest, I was surprized at how quickly they made me an offer...I was still working the "these are my considerations, etc..." and the CA said, "if by end of today, we'll give it to you for X." Turned out to be a good deal and they still made some money), so I took it.

How much did they reduce MSRP for the ED option? You may still be better taking that tha delaying and going with another order...at the very least, you'd likely have burned a bridge there, and would have to work with another dealer.

Cheers

Bought my last 4 cars with CCC. Helps cut out the BS with dealerships. In fact, I simply print out my report and then call the sales manager of a dealership. No sales guy involved. He quotes me, and if I like the deal I buy the car. No mess, no fuss. Last car I bought the first time I saw someone at the dealership was when I picked up the car. It was Crosby Audi, they were excellent.
