Ah .... Sensi on my laptop

Maybe some of you will remember this game from the early 90s ?

Sensible World of Soccer.

Forget turgid set sequence animations in 3d this is pure adrenaline-fest gaming nirvana ! Football game of the gods.

Found someone selling adapters to connect an Amiga Joystick to a USB port So bought 4 of them. Fired up my Amiga emulator and away we go.

I bought a pallete of old Amiga Joysticks about 10 years ago for just this occasion (they got broken quite often due to wearing out and disputed goal decsions ). Good investment, like gold dust now.

Just need to see how it runs through the HDMI-out on my laptop and connect to a nice BIG screen.

"goal scoring super star hero !"

Off to take the phone off the hook .....

D.

Loved that game, Kick Off was pretty good to.

I remember more games from that era than recent ones!

Used to play this and the soldier one - cant recall its name.

Just saw this and thought it was quite a good offer for those that can't be bothered to research emulators and the like

Kick Off 2, Speedball 2, Gunship 2000, M1 Tank Platoon, Stunt Car Racer, Shadow of the Beast and many many more.

The Amiga was utterly brilliant and I wasted many hours of my life on it - anyone ever hook up two and play Stunt Car Racer (or flight sims) against each other? Classic. I remember the excitment of getting a 1/2 MB RAM upgrade too!

No time to play computer games any more but the "hyper realistic" movie style games just don't seem to have the same impact.

I learned more about military vehicles from Microprose manuals than I did from actually training in real life!

Loved the Amiga. My mates were massively better than me at Sensible Soccor and ran rings round me; for some reason I just couldn't play that title (don't think my eyes were programmed to move that quickly!!!).

What platform was Ikari Warriors on - remember that being brilliant back in the day.

Adored Chase HQ down the arcades too (probably an absolute bag of shite now).

No, no. Just appreciate things that work well regardless of age.

You and I drive the same everyday car.
