Widest tire I can run?

My new Linea Corse rims came in today and I need to get some tires for them. The rims are 19 x 8.5 ET30 front and 19 x 9.5 ET35 rear.

I want them to fit nicely so I'm probably gonna go with a drop. What size fronts and rears should I be running?

The guy at Firestone wanted to get me to 245 front and 275 rear but I'm just afraid of rubbing

Why not just go with 235/35 and 265/30.

most likely, unless you are super low, you will be fine with 275.30.19 on a coupe

265 will always fit, 275 MAY or MAY NOT rub. Make sure you know a guy that rolls fenders if you plan on going to 275 (just in case).

The camber you choose, the drop, and the tire will all factor into this equation. (aside from the wheels and offset obviously).

275 works depending on the tires, for example, my pirellis rubbed even after rolling the fenders, just put on some generals and they never rubbed yet...but like someone else said, find someone who can roll fenders before installing them....

great. I just got them put on last night at Firestone. And I asked for 265/30/19 in the back but the guy insisted onn giving me 265/35s instead. And now every time I hit a bump they rub badly. How do I fix this?

well thanks but it's already too late. I guess I was dumb for believing them when they said 35 wouldn't be a problem... but now I need to do something
