My Old Car

I was driving on the M1 yesterday and saw a titanium grey 04 plate 530d in front of me. I noticed it had a spoiler and big 19 inch wheels - like my last car. Very unusual on an SE model e60.

I then realised it WAS my own car. This is a pretty bizarre co-incidence because I was about 90 miles from the garage I sold it to.

In 16 years of driving and probably as many cars I have NEVER come accross a car I used to own before.

Has anyone else seen one of their old cars on the road?

(no points if you sold it to your next door neighbour or some such bollocks).

Twice. I saw both Golf GTis (mk2 & mk3) about 6 months after i'd traded them in. It was kind of spooky. Especially when you are sitting there in your new car thinking.... "thats a really nice car... wish I hadn't sold mine... oh hang on.. that WAS mine... wonder if they'll sell it back... etc etc.. "

That has happened to me a couple times.
Once I was driving on the highway in my Murano and a loud car was coming up on my rear and then zoomed past me. I started drooling over the sound of the car and then realized it was my 2002 Mustang GT. I smiled and cried a little.

I see my 2003 Murano all the time. It has 10000K HID bulbs that are visible from far away. It looks great and I feel the need to point out that it was my old car to anyone with me. Again, happy/sad moments.
