335D Evolved!! Review!!

With my current spree on the car with upgrading the wheels and steering wheel re-trimed.

I booked into Evolve and went along on tuesday morning and i was very pleased with the guys knowledge and other advise i got with the many questions i had.

I was really impressed withthe dyno results and found that on standard my car was pushing 305hp...

They have me two options which were 340hp/730Nm or 350hp/700Nm.

In the end i opted for more torque than bhp and went for 340/730Nm as i would only be needing the power at the lower end and they advised the more bhp would really come live at the top end.

Result!!

They managed to get out 341hp/550lb (which s around 730Nm) and the car feels like its just woken up!!

And they also did a good deal on the BMC pannel filter!!

Overall i am really please with the level of service, and the improvment ofthe performance of the car.

Would recommend these guys to anyone who wishes to wake up their car!!

Next is;

1. Areo Lip...
2. M3 Boot Lip
3. Alpine Sound Upgrade!!

I've had 3 different maps in my car now from well known tuners and now have had the Evolve map and it is by far the best

Excellent review mate thanks, just a quick question about how the gearbox is coping with the extra power? Also is the gearbox mapping altered for the extra power or have you noticed different behaviour from the gearbox in its choosing of gears and shift times?

To be honest i think the gear box has adjusted to the map... i haven't noticed anything different and things its doing a good job, also in Sport mode the gears hold on for much longer than when it was not mapped.

Overall a big smile!

I think you can get the gearbox reseted so that it re-learsn your driving style.

I presume evolve will do this for you.

Hi Zaher,

335 is great choice... remap from evolve cost 350 with dyno... i think the guys still have their offer on... Get 47mpg on the motoway if i drive sensibly. Around the city in london i've a heavy foot so i average around 34mpg.

Hope that helps and i've moved from a e46 M3 to the 335D and i'm very impressed.
