Much better than stock, and IMHO, better than the M3 front end as seen in spyshots. The lower part of the M3 bumper just ugly IMHO - looks like a big nose that got punched a few times.

I like the aero front end too, but I do not like that it is just a tacked on lip. You can see the seams and it looks a little cheap IMHO. Also, with the M bumper you lose the bicycle reflectors as a bonus.

Are you sure? I didn't know there even was a US specific version. It seems odd that they would bother to cast a seperate piece for a part that probably won't even be advertised in any US brochure.
But if that really is the case, then I'll simply obtain the European part instead.

True enough. However, weren't those designed specifically for the US ZHP package? I don't think we'll get a ZHP too soon. But I know that folks here in the US ordered the M body kit for the sedan soon after the M-sport option was available in Europe. So the coupe body kit should be available for purchase here soon as well.

The M-Tech kit for the E46 came out years before they started release ZHP's in the states. They've always had reflectors as long as the bumper has been in the states. |

Did BMW market the M-Tech kit over here from the get-go? Because the E90/E91 M-Tech kit has been available for months now, and it doesn't even appear in the accesories catalog. ![]()

Someone help me here, what is the preferred way to do things? A. Ordering kit (+paint/install) and having extra bumpers sitting around in the garage. or B. Ordering with the car at time of purchase. But weren't the list prices for the e46/e60 M aero kits $1K+ and dealer probably keeps the original bumpers of course. Too bad the prices for the kits aren't more of an upgrade type deal cause it'd be nice to order with car so you don't have the extra bumpers to deal with. Off topic: Anyone remember which 330 model years had SMG? |

The 'M Sport Model' option has appeared on the South Africa 320i Coupe options list today. At 29,500 Rand (over $4000 US) its a bit pricey, and there are no details what is included, or any pics as yet.

If you're in the states like me.. you'll have to do it just the we all did it back in the day on our E46's..
Buy the Car Buy The Kit Seperately from the dealer with the lowest quote (Usually Pacific BMW) Now the tricky part is where it lies. The body shop. A good shop will make or break you. If you're nit picky and want OEM quality, be prepared to pay around 400 per bumper or more for paint and install for some premium work. Other places can get it done for around 300-350. That was for the E46. Considering the E92 bumpers are twice the size and take up part of the hood and headlight covering, you're probably going to be lookking at a bigger paint cost because of the size. You'll spend under $2000 to get them painted and installed for the entire kit. Not to mention the Black Window trim is a pain in the ass to install.. so again like the E46. Have thee body shop paint it. There.. you just saved yourself 500 bucks at 20 hours of breaking your fingers by paying the bodyshop 200 bucks. |

The origin of those pics is unknown (at least to me). Jasper69 was given them by his dealership. I do not think it is a customer's car; I think it is pre-production just like the Le Mans blue car in the first post of the thread. So no one actually has an M-Sport E92 in their possession yet.

Thanks for chiming in, didn't know if you were reading this thread.
Since you are here, can I ask you a favor? Can you see if your the parts department at your dealership has part numbers for the m-kit and the individual pieces yet? Or, at least, if they know when they might get them?
