What to do with the missus?

Kind of a Dear Deirdre story...

I have a 335d and C63 AMG and missus has an 06 Volvo V50 T5 which needs some work (service, new brakes, tyres etc) so we decide to trade it in as we need a 'family' car for 2 kids and 2 dogs.

With any of our current cars we can't fit anyone else in with the kids and she likes to go out with her sister/mum etc so we decide on a 7 seater.

We look at Nissan cashcow (or however its spelt), Dodge, X5 but none are true 7 seaters so we - or should i say me decide on a Disco 3 as i think its safe and sturdy.

My pocket is lightened and the T5 is gone but she hates the Disco so i offer her the 335d as her everyday drive with the kids but she says its 'impractable' as the buggy only just goes in the boot - (it fits!!).
I even got it remapped but she says its to slow and dangerous getting out of junctions! Personally, i REALLY like the Disco.

Now, despite a a trio of decent cars, shes on about buying a cheapo 2k car!!

What can i tell her to change her mind that a Disco 3 is a good car for family - as is a 3 series 4 door saloon

Show her the Ncap stats of the Disco versus anything £2k will buy.

If she's carrying round the kiddies a bombshelter on wheels nothing is safer for the rugrats.

There's some aptly shaped pieces of plastic that would have the same effect on you Matthew.

O/P - Can't see what's wrong with the Disco but hey we need her side of the story lol.

Bloody women eh. We're never happy.

I first read that as she thought the remapped 335d was a bit slow out of junctions

My missus has a 2k car and would LOVE a Disco 3 - maybe they could swap and we'll all be happy
