New rims and Vredersteins Fitted

Guys have been waiting for a genuine style 260 for months now to appear from somewhere and god answered my prayers, I got the rims and thought its the best time to switch from RFT to non RFT tyres... Firstly I was amazed how much lighter the Style 260 Rims with the Vreds were from my 17s with run flats... secondly the handling is still sharp and responsive as before... but the main difference is in comfort and ride quality, my god the difference is like night and day... I used to hate going over speed bumps and raised surfaces on my old setup but now it more forgiving and doesnt feel like the titanic hitting an iceberg

Welcome to the sensible world of non-rft's. Make sure you've got a mobility kit just in case!

Just get a decent 12v compressor, a can of tyre weld and digital pressure gauge - no need to go oem BMW.

You can also get a nice BMW OEM fitted compartment liner for the space in the boot to keep it in!

Look great, I've been looking out for a set of these for a while now and still undecided with these, 313s or CSLs.

They won't have spacers on, that's how they sit with the offset of the M3 wheels.

Guys no spacers, tried to keep it all oem I thought of getting it lowered but didnt wanna upset the bushes and current setup, but might look into the BMW performance springs as I do want to keep things OEM. The alloys cost me 700 and the tyres cost me 392 all in got the fronts for 86 per tyre(Elite Direct Ebay store) and the rears for 110(CamSkill) per tyre. I still got the M3 Tyres that came with the alloys, althought the rears are just legal the fronts look good so I might sell those tyres off

I am going to Sytner on Monday for my Performance Grills, rubber mats and Maybe even a suprise mod and even thought I have been asked many times I will not Debadge my 320d I am proud of the little guy

Enjoy the weeked Guys...

They look nice, and look bigger than 18" for some reason.

They look to sit a little to far out at the rears, with lowering it looks like they will strike the arch when under load.

Be careful. If the rears sit out further than the arch then it's an MoT failure.

I may be taking the Vredestein non-RFT route soon. One of my fronts is getting close to illegal on the outside edge (I cannot complain it has lasted over 30k miles) and the rears are both wearing unevenly again on the inside edge, and one of them appears to have a nail in it. It isn't apparently losing pressure, but it's only a matter of time.

So, four tyres at once then, sigh! The Vred Sessantas seem good value for money - usefully cheaper than Michelins and the like yet a bit better performance than cheaper Falken 452's and their ilk. Worth a shot I think.

Anyone know whether fitting non-RFT's will significantly reduce my chances of getting the infamous cracks in my 225's?
