Thumbs up BMW S 1000 RR shows what 0-62 in 2.9 can do

So, what cool tricks can a BMW superbike that can do 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds accomplish? Besides making the hair on the back of your neck standup, how about the good ole tablecloth trick, but with 24 place settings. Check out the video inside!

new 911 turbo does 0-60 in 2.9 as well - pretty amazing for a 3000+ pound car.

the 997 turbo does 0-60 in 3.2 with the sport plus and the pdk gearbox... 3 tenths is a big difference...

That's with a passenger. The run in the video is 3.01. 2.9x would be easy given the same conditions minus the weight of a passenger.

Man great vid.

2.9 secs for a bike or a 911 will just get you faster to the next red light down the corner

i never thought i'd lust so hard for a BMW bike. also, to the car vs. bike thing, that 911 also has limitless traction compared to a bike and does not have to worry about flipping over backwards in first and second gear when you punch it.
