Damn rock chips - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

I was driving on I-90 East bound towards Bellevue this morning when I heard a LOUD-ASS pop on my windshield right before the Bellevue Way exit. I thought someone was shooting a BB gun at my windshield! After I got to my destination, I noticed where a piece of rock / debris hit my windshield, leaving a 3mm vertical line chip on my car.......

Time to get it repaired......

my m-tech fog glass was broken by rockchip also...

Got a few on my windshield too. One big one that needs to be repaired soon i think. Can anyone recommend a place? Preferrably close bellevue or seattle dt. There's another thread that recommended rock chip guys in tacoma. Lol chances are im gonna get more rock chips driving down there and back.

um, don't go to all-star auto glass on 4th ave s. those assclowns were rude, relatively expensive (almost $60) and my 3mm vertical crack is still present. it doesn't look like anything was fixed at all.

I got 3 of them in a one week when the car was only 2 weeks old!

Novus always treated me well....the one on 99 by Greenlake.

I liked it in Boston when windshields were covered under insurance not like here where its not.

I thought there are a number of places you could do it for free around here. Just chips though, not cracks...that's why I was asking if anyone's done it before

I had my cracked windshield replaced under my insurance policy last year. I don't believe I had to pay a deductable either, or if I did, it was minimal (<$100) on the $700 total replacement cost. Although I have no clue if my policy covers chip repair.

I go to Schucks and buy the fix kit. it gets the job done!!! just go in and ask them for the kit, it cost around 10-15 bucks.
