To add to what you two were saying. Is this to tie into a car's existing oil cooler for added cooling or is this for cars that do not have an oil cooler from factory? Or, is it for both?

cp-e has no immediate plans to separate the package from what I've been told. I took a lot of pictures of the unit as to how it'll integrate with our stock oil cooling units... and like I said, it's an innovative, efficient approach.

You'll be pleasantly surprised when you see the numbers then. HPF has a great solution, without a doubt.

I would agree, they both are great products, and no one is more superior....each has their merits with their design

not saying the FMIC is better than HPF's, but the fact that it has an oil cooler built in makes it more attractive overall to me.

THe HPF unit is great, no doubt. But I see the n54 as having a high oil temp problem so why not address that too? Hell my turbo'd s52 barely ever sees over 210 degrees even in 95 degree weather.

if I had another 335 i'd be running a FMIC AND Meth so any small difference between FMIC's would be really out the window.

I agree the oil cooler setup is awesome especially if it is included within the price of under 1000 bucks....If so they will sell alot for sure.

The OCC seems very odd to me. Why mount an oil cooler with the fins not even exposed to any flow whatsoever? They are mounting with the fins facing vertical not horizontal, in an area that doesn't receive the best air flow, and on top of an item that by design is a heat sink. In my opinion, this is a very poor design for an effective oil cooler.

Valid assumptions with the prototype unit. Reserve your opinions when everything else is posted. Just finishing some docs. They told me the white papers were ready so I should be seeing that very soon.

I hope they have some sort of heat barrier between the oil cooler and the FMIC.

this oil cooler for an e36 from CES look to be the same slanted design.

Are there any pics of the finalized version of the oil cooler mounted on the car? I'd like to see how it is positioned.

Like the idea

Thought the idea of the Oil Cooler and FMIC together was great. Was also wondering how this turned out? How did the oil cooler work in conjunction with the stock cooler? Are these actually for sale yet?

THANKS for sharing the info.
