Removing e92 radiator fan.
Does anyone know how to remove the radiator fan in a 335i?
The reason im asking is because I installed my Ar secondary oil cooler and Im getting a slight oil leaking from where the distribution block is. It is SOO tight in there and I cant get in there to really tighten up the main bolt that holds it all together. |

I was looking at it, it seem like its only that torx screw and maybe some clips, I know that from the factory the bottom of the fan clips behind the Intercooler, but i have a helix installed so thos clips are rendered useless. Im hoping its just a matter of disconnecting the harness, removing the screw and unclipping it, doesent seem like anything else is holding it in there.
Ill let u know, if I cant do it, Ill bring it to you guys. |

how did you remove it!?? I'm trying pull this damn thing out for the last two hours!! no kidding! I unplugged fan connector, unscrewed torx on the bottom and also on the passenger side. Unclipped driver side clip, and from what I can see there's some rubber groumet holding the whole fan/fan shroud in place?? I tried to pull the whole thing up but only the passenger side is completely loose but the driver's side seems to get caught with something! Someone help asap!!!

Sorry to revive this years old thread, but yes, what is the deal with that rubber grommet thing on the driver side of the fan housing? How can I detatch it safely without breaking something? Everything else is loose and willing to move straight up and out. It's a connection the charge pipe has with the radiator fan.

You're right. I ended up using a flat head screw driver to just pry that rubber grommet off the attactchment to the fan housing and then it came right up and out once I cleared all the obstructions.
