That's right, the acidity in rain corrodes the trim as it has no protection after cleaning without wax etc. Vinegar (or any light acid) will etch it all off and a good wax will bead water off in future.

nice work..

i'll get some wax tomorrow and sort it right out.. anything recommended, or will any old stuff from halfords do the job?

p.s. this thread has gone waaaaaay off topic.. bus is entertaining!

My trim on my old 335 did that and I got it replaced under warranty FOC!
