Wheel adaptors??

Does anyone recommend using wheel adaptors on BMW's? If so, is there a specific brand that works better than others? I have a set of wheels that are on my Altima (5x114.3) and wonder if it will be ok to put on a 328Xi which uses 5x120. Thanks

There is adapters, adapters space out the wheels at the same time, they push them out about 20MM, just because the adapter works, will not mean the wheel will fit, might still hit your fender.

Also it is kind of ghetto and not too safe. Hope that helps

Thanks. Guess I will just be purchasing new wheels then although I don't think the wifey will be too happy with it though.

Just trying to find a way to save $$$ and keep the wife happy at the same time. What do you guys recommend where I put the wheels on sale at? Craigslist, Ebay? Any others?

I really expect a little more from sponsors on this forum ... ghetto and not to safe huh? Why exactly is it not too safe and you wouldn't recommend it?

I know plenty of people who have run adapters and they are perfectly fine, even on track cars ... it's the same as have spacers and extended bolts (yes I know they attach differently)

The amount of misinformation on this forum is disgusting sometimes

Adapters are perfectly fine to use, just make sure to check the offset .. you will lose between 15 & 25mm depending on which ones you buy

Good luck and post some pics when you get it done
