I'll admit this is pretty lame, but I made some custom jack point blocks for my e90.

The blocks measure 2.25" x 1.25" to fit inside the jack points and are made of oak plywood (strong and won't crack).

I then cut some circular blocks to fit in my old floor...

I just put a small section of 2x4 between the floor jack and the jacking point. Works fine.

But I do need to come up with a good solution for when I want to use jack stands, as the 2x4 method would not be terribly stable. These inserts you guys are making seem like a good, cheap solution.
