Any Long Term Storage Tips?

Well, Im the only person who drives my car and I'll be leaving for at least 3 months..

Is there any tips that someone may recommend? Maybe those guys who have summer/winter rides and have to store their cars away for the winter..

My parents will also be around.. how often do you think I should tell them to drive/start the car? 1-2 a week ?

Thanks in advance!

Add fuel stabilizer and fill the car up with gas
Pump the tires up to 50psi
Hook it up with a battery tender

Send a message via AIM to bsamoul
If they drive it make sure they get it nice and warm before they shut it off.

One of two things. As previously suggested, fuel stabilizer/battery tender/pump up the tires. And before parking it get the oil changed.

Or just have it driven every two weeks or so. And really driven -- get it up to temperature and keep it there for at least 10 or 15 minutes.

I prefer the latter, and do this with two older cars, my snowblower and lawn mower. Regular operation is better than cold storage. At least in this Internet opinion.
