Great day!!

So my 3M Di-NOC CF vinyl just arrived along with my zenclosures box! I'm so excited to put them in/on. I should be done by the end of the day but I have to wait till class is over. should I skip? Haha nahh I should go. Pictures will be up by tonight! If not definetely tomorrow!!

UPDATE: So there were a few problems I had on Thursday. I forgot I didn't have an outlet to use on top of my parking garage at school. I know, I'm an idiot. I attempted to apply the vinyl without a heat gun....it sucked. I ripped it off and put it back on the wax paper. I went home for Easter and re did it today. I got done late so I couldn't take any quality pics. Btw, I am a first time installer. I have never worked with vinyl before. Although I didn't think it was too bad of an install, it still was tricky in certain respects. I'll go more in depth when I take better pictures. In short I DO NOT recommend this as a DIY.

Here are some teaser pics. Next project....amp rack. Any ideas?

Update #2: Quality pictures and in depth explanation of my experience.

Please excuse the mess. We're doing construction.

The shark fin antenna is not in this picture. I was still in the process of wrapping it. The shark fin was the hardest part for me. After 3 attempts I said f it. I just cut the vinyl so it would contour to all the curves. Close up you can see the lines but standing directly behind the trunk or to the side, you can't notice. I tried to put all the lines on top so it wouldn't be noticeable. More pics to come when I have time to take better quality ones with a proper camera.

Used quarters to hold the wind deflector down.

I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself. I had applied the whole roof and was stuck with about a 1/4 inch bump in the vinyl on the driver's side corner. I had to cut it and line it up. Getting it on flat is the hardest part. All the cutting is easy. I just cut past the seals and tucked the vinyl underneath.

You guys think it is ok to put black caulk around the shark fin? I used 3M double sided tape to adhere the shark fin and you can see the white foam. Too acidic?
