Shiv, this tuning can ONLY be done by driving up to the Bay and paying you a visit? there is no alternative? fairly long drive...

Shiv,

You're doing great work with the 335i. I'm still planning on visiting you with my Alpina B10 BiTurbo. It's factory numbers are 360hp and 382trq. I'm sure you could take my car over 400hp with ease. I also know some fellow Alpina owners that would be interested in a plug and play set-up. Would you like to advertise that you tuned the only Alpina B10 BT in the USA?

^^ & ^^^^ Well since shiv cant really be two places at once, you can order the xede, (and hopefully for your sake you want exhaust too), then install. All xedes will come with a standard-safe map. If you want your car all out running 100% tune to all your mods, instead of the 80-90% standard safe settings, you will need him to custom tune for a few hundred bucks more. You can either drive to Cali bay area, or you can get a minimmum of 5 people with a few hundred bucks to meet you at a local dyno shop that you will need to arrange to rent for the day. Then this very customer oriented businessman, who so far has atleast impressed me, will be willing to head out to your location to tune everyone.

I've been trying to follow all the "shiv" threads but still have a couple of questions:

1. When can we order the Xede from you?

2. Does it matter who/what exhaust we use? I'm curious as there is a local shop that does custom "cat-backs" that could fab up a nice system. I'm just not sure if your exhaust is a key element to the Xede tune. I would assume they're all the same if setup like your exhaust.

3. When can you make it to Phoenix AZ for some custom tunes!! I think it would be great to get the Xede now with the base Tune and then have you out for custum work when you can.

Great work!!! I can't wait!!

Exclamation

Subscribed to another Vishnu thread- because someday in the next year or so- I plan on snagging a SG or AW 335i ZSP 6MT, and getting all the power I can out of it!

Although: A few guys at the E46Fanatics.com forum were a little upset at the fact that you are charging so much for your BMW Products :

The cost of xede and exhaust is only 3k for the 335. Not sure where the 4k price came from.

Plus if you look at any other exhaust, like say for a Supra TT, quality exhausts that allow for more power to the vehicle cost around $1000 so $1700 for a new exhaust for a new car isn't the worst of starting prices. Just not really the best bargain. You could always wait for other ones or this price to go down.

I see no problem with the price for the Xede controller. That in my opinion is more important than the exhaust anyways. I'm gonna shell out the $1300 for that in a heartbeat.

Hmph, me neither!

The OP must've meant 3,000- but mistyped it. Still, the price difference stands- you are getting a whole lot more product(s) for your Mitsubishi 4,200 than you are for your BMW 3,000. Is it not just typical German Car Price Enflation?

I sure hope not- cuz I do plan on getting something like this later,

Honestly, I think its cause its a new car with very very limited products right now and Vishnu, as a business is kinda inflating the price a lil bit.

Plus yeah 2K5.....its a BMW

It was asked twice and never answered. And both times, it was asked if the limiter would be removed. Thats not what I was asking. I got my answer, but, tell you what. You go find where that was answered and Ill send you $20, and a formal apology. Good luck.
PS. It wasnt first asked till page 20 something i believe it was 23.

If this is a rev limiter question, then in another thread it was stated that the rev limiter was not going to be increased due to the additional stress levels that could impact reliability. So could top speed be increased by raising the rev limiter... sure.. but I doubt Shiv is going to do it... atleast not on a Stage 1 setup.

All BRAND NEW products are going to cost more $$ due to initial product development/R&D/marketing expenses. Especially a brand spanking new product like this. Like all products, it will drop over time after manufacturing cost decrease and more competition. This is the norm and if you want to be one of the first to enjoy this product, there's a premium.
$3000 for the Chip and Custom Dual Exhaust + tuned and dynoed by Shiv + be almost as fast as an M5 is a bargain price......

Exactly! Oh and if that costs to much for you then don't get the exhaust right away, give up around 10 hp, pay for the Xede, and be happy and all those E46 guys can stop bitching. Its like if its not $1, people get annoyed

The hp gains from each product is not simple addition.

XEDE gains = 10hp/10trq.
Exhaust gains = 10hp/15 trq

XEDE+Exhaust=50/65trq.

Do me a favor. Could you tell me where it says that the Xede will only give you 10hp/10tq when the Xedes for the Evos, Sti's, WRX's for instance provide between 20-50hp? Just curious where that thread is cause I was unaware of that.

The price of the Vishnu EVO kit probably has to do with the fact that:

-Cost on parts are much lower (because the kit has been out for a while as well as his exhaust so R&D costs and such have been recouperated).
-He sells a very high volume.
