That was a serious question, the lol was simply my frustration. How can some1 with less boost, worse timing, trap 120 plus. Maybe the track I go to is slow.

Warren, takeone, hell even donald 335 just claimed to trap 123 on 93/meth.
For some reason I have a hard time believing that a full catless exhaust and a FMIC will pick up 6-7mph to match Donald. Maybe Im wrong.

What is the fastest you've ever seen run at your track? And what mods?

And yes, full exhaust and FMIC will be worth BIG mph gains. There is only so much air the engine can pump with all those factory restrictions still in place.

Nobody has trapped over 120 with the tune/DCI/pump+meth and MT (prob not AT either) that I know of. Warren might have done it on a Vbox, but that doesn't count. Fully catless + FMIC can easily be good for 4-5 mph. Also, some of those other people might have had weight savings.

Your timing looks great in 4th. After seeing this, I'm probably gonna switch to a M10 nozzle. You have less weight than me, but that shouldn't account for ~4mph faster. The only difference is the nozzle size.

About two weeks ago in colder weather a 2.0 jb3 guy on 17psi, race gas, open catless downpipes(no exhaust at all), no lid on the box ran 119.7 trap wise. Best et was a 11.9 @ 116-117 on hoosiers.

1 night before I ran a couple jb3 map 9 guys went and the mt car went 110-11 best, at went 112-113, both were on race gas. Mods were dci/dp for the 112-113 car. Conditions were alot colder than when I ran. I need to go to a real track I think.

I dunno about less weight. My 135 went in on stock weight, im 6'6 250 plus had about 20-30lbs of crap in the car. Lap tops, meth kit, clothes, tools just incase the car needs to get towed lol....you know the usual "oh shit it broke" items you might need.

keep in mind this was a m10 nozzle with 100 percent vpm1 methanol. No mix.

open dp is better than dp with exhaust. no lid is about as good as dci. so that makes sense.

the at map 9 w/ dci+dp on race gas was a little slow imo.

I'm guessing those were 335. Your car is running fast as hell imo. I need to know how you are doing it lol.

I have a 3 series, so thats 200 lbs right there. I leave my crap in the car too. Still you are trapping over 4mph than me with the same exact mods besides the nozzle size and i run 80/20. You inspired me to buy a m10 nozzle (just purchased one) and run 100% meth next time.

Definatly LOG, I would like to see the logs and start make sense of why some cars run 110-112 traps and other run 120plus. Then you have people like hotrod who runs 120 with no mods. Or takeone who hit 119 with I think a DCI and midpipe.

Also, the stock exhaust on the 135 is hopelessly restrictive. Only 1 muffler, not two like the 335. You're traps are already beyond what I would expect with your mods.

how have you found the factory 335i exhaust to flow once the secondary cats have been removed and catless downpipes have been installed?

Reasonably well it seems. I haven't done any controlled testing of it though. The only reason I know how bad the 135 single exhaust system is was from back in the day when we tuned our first one. Up top, It was 20-30whp down from all the 135s we tested with the same mods/tune. Made sense once I looked under the car.

boostedcosta ran 11.93@119 on 6MT JB3 18ohm board, k1s /w hoosiers, open ar dps, open intake... I was there that day when he did that and he posted the slip. He was running consistent 12.0 - 12.1 all day long too. I can imagine him being a solid 11.7 - 11.8 @ 120+ with meth installed. I ran a 12.96@112.6 on street tires that day with 24ohm JB3 Map 8, 93/104 mix, Map 8, DCI, DPs.

Donald's times? Well, no slip, no believe. I find it VERY hard to believe a 12.3@123 with no slip, no 60ft, no nothing.

So you're saying the 135i makes far less power due to a more restrictive exhaust compared to the 335i?

I think the 135i catback gets a bad rap. Here is a dyno test a few weeks ago through the stock midcats/135i catback. Not even a golf-tee mod.

91 octane + M10.

No boostedcosta ran 11.9 at 116-117. He trapped 119 on a run where he lit up the tires and got a 2.2 60.

And again, Mike, we are talking about the stock 135 catback, not aftermarket 135 catbacks. That does not apply to the OP.
