Does 325i have limp mode?

I am not sure if I should post this here or at the track or the engine section...

But anyway, I just got back from a open track event (Gingerman Raceway, MI) The car was great but on my last run, I tried to pushed the car to the limit and after about 20mins I lost like half of the power and the transmission felt weird and also the car sounds like I had an exhaust leak somewhere under the car...
There were no warning lights or anything.. oil level was at max.. etc...
So I pulled over, let it cooled down for about 10 min and it just went back to normal and I just drove 130 miles back home and everything felt all normal..

Was that an overheat?? Shouldn't the car give a warning for that? Like a half engine light or something??

Idk, maybe get it read for codes? If it doesn't happen again, i "personally" (and last time i made this comment i got flamed) wouldn't worry about it. It happened under extreme circumstances anyways.

And this is why I don't go to the tracks... Just my personal preference though so don't get all beefy with me. But good thing everything went back to normal. I would've been afraid after that lol.

haha yea usually I ignore stuffs on the car if it only happen once too lol

But well I think I might know why all that happened.. not 100% sure tho.
I remembered that my AC was on close to max setting when I restart the car there yesterday so what happened was that I forgot to turn my AC off when I enter the track and its been on the whole time on the track and when Im pushing the car hard.. That might be why... not sure tho

From my understaning, no it does not. All that heat built up from racing could have caused the engine to run sluggish and you did say you had the AC on full blast.
