Talking Latest V4 beta tested with meth

I've been testing the latest beta version of V4 and am using a mix of Ethanol/Water 80/20 and a CMGS progressive controller with a M10 nozzle @ 60% flow. The car moves far beyond expectations, I'm simply amazed.

It reminds closely of when I added a NOS system to my 68 Camaro. The car was provided with a tuned LT1 engine, Dart II heads with large SS-valves, 750 CC double pumper and a Victor Jr. intake. Perhaps some here are old enough to know about such things I can't say the 335 is weaker than the Chevy, and it is far nicer to drive.

Are you using the procede progressive mapping or just upping the UT and lowering the IC? What setting did you put in the user adjustables (UT/IC/and if applicable the progressive meth setting)?

Just upping UT and lowering IC. I'll keep a low profile at the moment about the Procede settings since it is not released yet, to keep other from not having the same supporting mods out of problems. Just follow Shiv's recommendations if you are in the test group.

The CMGS was set to start 25% flow 10 PSI and 100% flow at a virtual boost of 30 PSI.

Thanks. What octane gas are you running over there?

RON 99 (Shell V-power), I think this is about the same as your 93 octane.

How come you're using the M10 nozzle? Would M7 be satisfactory? I'm getting my CMGS kit soon and want to make sure I have the right nozzle..

That's what shiv is using a M7 nozzle for the main spray and then if you go the nitrous route a M10 nozzle will be used for secondary nozzle that Procede controls. I think M10 is way too big. A M5 or M7 nozzle is more than adequate for just spraying meth

M7 is fine, and better. I'm just taking height for Nitrous by the M10.

I am using a m10 nozzle and the only mods are dci/chargepipe/v4

this is a datalog of a 12.3 run at 116-117 on street tires in a MT car. Looks to be working perfect.

Hey, can you zoom in on that graph for CAN Actual Ign Advance...seems that there's a dip (knock) at around 5500 rpm..

In drag racing (unlike dyno), it's very difficult to get a completely knock retard-free run when running a max power tune. Especially with a 6MT which transitions from no throttle to full throttle 3 times very quickly. Even when running race gas and meth.

IF you mean 2nd gear, thats not knock, thats simply boging/spining from the gear change. Notice the rpm increase right above that event.

+1
Knock retard doesn't recover that quickly. It usually decays over a much longer period of time.

If you want to see knock, I can show you knock. I was playing with settings all day and decided to try 100 ut. Yea lol, this is what knock looks like.
I would NOT recommend this this. Maybe on 116 leaded you might get away with it lol

Shiv in the knock log, why is the throttle all jacked up after the shift. It doesn't snap back to full like on the other knock free runs. Is that a stock ecu precation thing?

Yea my buddy with a jb3 had his meth fail on him, 4th gear 18psi, -8 degrees of timing. Any other car, he would be picking up pieces of the side of the road lol.

Back to the knock run, also just noticed that timing right after the shift starts off at 17-18 degrees. Thats probably why it knocked. Pretty wierd. Either way, settings that shouldnt be on my car, just figured Id try it. Showed you guys a log, don't try it lol

CM kit, the vac tube to the boost switch cracked, thus never activating the switch.
