SoCal BMW Malibu Meet... 8/28/05 - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

Well its about time we get some nice Euro cars together out in Malibu again. I'm thinking a nice BMW (or Euro) Malibu meet where we had the last M3 Malibu meet would be nice. Some of you who have been to the last ones know how sweet of a meet it could be if a lot of people come out. Same old routine; we have an hour meet/ photo shoot and then we could have two "optional" events... some people can go on a PCH city cruise and the canyon junkies can go do their Malibu canyon runs.

So once again if there's enough interest the details would be:

When: Sunday August 28th

Time: 12 p.m. sharp!!

Leave at 1 p.m. for a cruise down PCH (and maybe a city cruise) and those of you who want to test out your suspensions can cruise the canyons.

Meeting would be at the back of the Ralph's parking lot on PCH (like before)

Now that was a freakin meet!!

. We got there about 11:45 and no one was there but a soon as 12 hit man did that lot fill up quick. I have no idea how many cars showed up but damn was there allot. The Canyon run after was also awesome; nice to see some familiar faces up in the twisties again. After the 3 hours of canyon cruising I was freakin starving and burning up. A small group of us had a mini McDonalds meet after and got our grub on. I'm glad everything went well at the meet and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

Thanks for coming out everyone. Nice to meet you new folks and nice seeing the regulars again. We must do it again sometime.

Freakin' Eh.....there were so many Bimmers....no place to park....we had to fight with the Ralphs' shoppers for parking spaces! Mostly old schools....there were only 3 E90s....

ok. first off the run was wicked. the curves and turns were killer. what an awesome meet. here are some pictures i took at the meet. i didnt really get any pictures of the curves because by them time i my hands were free for a second i was getting ready to shift gears. by the time we got (aznbeemer23 and natureboy) to the meet every cool parking space were taken. we had to park with the ralphs market shoppers.ahahhah.....there were just 3 e90. booooo

we need more of you guys to come out. we left the lot at about 1pm. natureboy ditched us he didnt do the run. about half way up aznbeemer23 was gone too. i dont blame them. the curves and turns.....oh boy.

i'm glad i finished it though. but was feelin sick all through the day. counldnt even make a right or left turn without feelin like i wanted to barf. ahahah. anyways anyone who really wanted to test out their suspension this is a great road to do so. here are some pictures where we stop fot other cars to catch up. this was the only free time i had to take some pictures.

Here are a few more pictures of the Malibu Rum - w/ cranberry juice! This was the site of the meet before the crazy canyon run....which I dissed for a nice hot day at the filthy, dirty, polluted, contaminated, and over-populated Santa Monica Beach with my little boy.

you are like 20 minutes away , what are you complaining about?? i'm about 50 mins aways. no complaints here. since i got the car in july i put up 700, i get about an average 22 miles to a gallon so you figure i have gone through roughly 318 gallon of gas, times that by average gas per gallon 2.90 i have spent about $922 dollars in gas for 2 months. yikes!

I'm about an hour away....no complaints here either.
I got the car on July 15th....and I just cracked the 3,000 miles
barrier! Average about 20.6 mpg.....roughly 145 gallons of gas....
@$2.85 = $415.04 for the first two months......

That's an extra $207.52 added to my monthly payment!
